Hello!  My name is Chhorn Sreyna. My friends and family call me Sreyna.

In my family, I have big family members including my mother, father, older brother, and sister( both of them got married), my youngest brother, and my grandma is living together in the homeland. Well, my mother is a salesperson, she has a smaller shop in her house that sells food, vegetables, kitchen ingredient and she is really a hero woman and inspiring me to fight in life. As I grew up in this family, I always saw my mother was working hard all the day she used to walk long distances to sell Khmer cakes from one house to another house. With her hard work at times, finally, she has her own shop. My father is a chief villages, my dad’s family was poor. He dropped out of elementary school to work but he has full ability to lead the villagers and make them the truth on him can work in this position. Besides work, sometimes he helps my mother in selling. The older brother is a carpenter, and he has two sons and a daughter. My older sister is a housewife, and she has three sons and a daughter. My youngest is dropped out the university and goes back to help my parents. He dreams to be my mother's job. I am the luckiest in my family who can still be a student in the university as Tourism and Hospitality major at PUC. I am a junior student who will graduate in the next year. I love my parents so much for the sacrifices to give me value life being a university student and get knowledge supporting-self in the future.  My parents think I’m too young to complain about life. They don’t think I’m tired, because I don’t physically work, but don’t understand that I’m mentally tired and stressed out. It’s hard for them to understand this because they didn’t have the experience of going to school. Anyway, I still respect my parent's heart that stands by my side as super supporter, good adviser, and being a real model for me. I love them the most.

I would like to tell you about my university and major.  I am a student at Tourism and Hospitality bachelor degree at PUC located on No. 184, Maha Vithei Preah Norodom Phnom Penh, Cambodia. But my faculty of Business and Economics is located at the Toul Kork campus that nearby my rental house. When I arrived at the college first time, I was concerned about the map to my university, sometimes I get lost from university to somewhere else, missed the classroom and it is very hard to get involved in a university social life, which everyone knows is meant to be exciting and great fun. At the time, it was more interesting and exciting back those memories that remind me I was really challenging myself from who was scared and needed someone always goes with became someone who was depending on self.

There are two mains that I really appreciate to choose this university: a full English program and communication skills with morality. This university takes motivation for all students there to speak English every time when we are in class or PUC campus. Special, the lectures come from international that follow European standard universities. PUC provides pre-university-level language training programs. The focus is on English language training but courses in other languages can also be arranged. More, the university speaks English for reading, learning, listening, and presenting which forces student double hard learning even they are not good at English. I was a student who is not good at English speaking and grammar, less confident to speak in front of many people using both eyes contact with me directly. However, I move slowly to build my confidence-mind and stay motivated. Communication skills with morality are essential speaking in usage daily with people, friends, family, and social. I have learned about morality being, do respect for people, enhancing gender, critical thinking, historical learning, meditation, and environmental issues, and practical in reality. Since I became in PUC 3years ago, I have changed myself much, from one who sometimes is rude, selfish, and stays in my comfort zone. The professors are good attention, guiding the good path for students to try on first, letting students raise up their problems, and helping to give good advice.

Of course, my first week of the university experience at PUC was quite different from what I expected. I don't mention my English training at PUC just go through university life. On the first day, it smoothed and excited together, we just introduced ourselves to some pieces of information at random. We went to the class-oriented that talked about group assignments, some guidelines, class participation, midterm, final and being active as marked. The next day, we went to the first chapter of the lessons but I could not be caught up with the lessons so it started new challenges for me too. From day to day, assignments dropped as the deadline was set for next week's collection. I had to spend many times reading, briefing, and submitting on time. When I was in high school, I always imagined that I had had time for relaxing, doing what I want but it totally wrong. I rarely stayed home, went out for making close relationships with my new friends at university, and doing assignments together. Life became busy but I was happy with that time causes it had fewer assignments than now.

In Phnom Penh, I live in a rental house with my cousin, her friends with 6 rooms, one kitchen, the underfloor bathroom that we share together and I am with my cousin, in Psar tropiang chhouk, sangkat Tek T'la, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh. It is the largest city with crowded people, traffic jams, pollution, and noise in my block area. I ride the motor to university alone, and I have to get up at 6:00 am to prepare myself and ride there, because I ride the motor across many traffic lights along with other students, the staff, and many people are using the same road.  In my area, is not to have a bus line that goes to my university. If it has, I still do not take the bus causes it does not have bus station in my block.

I like listening to motivation videos that inspire me to think positive always, after I listen to those videos I can collect a lot of information, some tips to improve my life to arrange my life ongoing in step by step to reach my dream. when I lost myself, it helps me, stays with me, let me know that I'm not alone to face troubles, and gives me the best advice to make me strong. The reasons that I like motivation videos are because I have some problems with my co-assignments, can't control of assignment doing, lost interest, and feel stressed. At weekend, I like cooking food with my cousin and her friends sometimes go for walk near my rental. And we make fun together. I love them so much.
